As we sail through crystal-clear waters from Les Rotes, we’ll embark on an incredible adventure along the coast of the Montgó Natural Park until we reach the stunning Cova Tallada. We’ll discover cliffs, rock formations, hidden coves and spots that can only be seen from the sea.
We’ll paddle our way into the cave, explore its interior and enjoy the unique surroundings. Finally, we’ll return with a smile on our faces after having had an amazing experience.

What does this route include?
Adventurer! The tour includes a 2.5-hour kayaking session with an instructor, a snorkelling mask, a waterproof container, and a small bag containing water and an energy bar – so you can make the most of it all and have the energy to carry on like a true adventurer! Oh, and if you get really cold, we’ll lend you a wetsuit.
How long does the kayaking trip at Cova Tallada take?
Our route lasts about 2,5 hours approximately.
What are the departure times?
Please note! Our opening hours vary during the summer season. We don’t set them ourselves; they’re determined by the Natural Park. You can check them on the booking system by clicking on the day you’d like to visit, or get in touch with us by phone, email or WhatsApp!
What should I bring on the kayaking excursion?
Good question adventurer! You should bring suitable hunting gear, old sneakers, crawlers or booties and comfortable clothes. We also highly recommend the use of sunscreen, sports sunglasses (you will come in contact with salt water) and something like a hat or cap.
How do I get to Cova Tallada and where can I park?
There are several options.
The meeting point is the car park at Restaurante Mena, but it’s sometimes full.
There’s another car park nearby (Las Rotas car park), about a 10-minute walk away.
In summer, don’t worry, all the car parks will be full. Just come early and hop on the free tourist train!
Is the kayak trip to Cova Tallada suitable for everyone?
There are always some exceptions, but, YES!
Except:
-Children under 6 years of age.
-People with heart or health problems
-Pregnant people.
Then there are also some things to see how the height and weight for the stability of the kayak, you can combine with other people to balance, example: a person of 100KG with a person of 50. The stability is reduced but it would depend on your ability.
In addition, the guides are always there to help if there is any problem and, if the activity cannot be done for any reason of height, weight or health, the money is refunded!
The tour lasts 2.5 hours and covers 4 km, with stops for snorkelling, breaks for storytelling, and a longer stop at Cova Tallada where you get out of the kayak. It can be tiring, but finishing the tour isn’t usually a problem as you’re always in a two-person kayak.
If there is bad weather and I can't go out in Kayak, do I get my money back?
Of course, you will get your money back or if you prefer, we can postpone it for another day!
We would let you know as soon as possible, sometimes days in advance and sometimes from the same cove, the weather forecast is sometimes wrong.
Where should I go for the kayaking activity at Cova Tallada?
Dear adventurer! The meeting point will be the car park at Mena restaurant!
What time should I go to be on time?
Please arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes early so we can go over the details, go through the safety instructions and get everything sorted without rushing.
Remember that parking can be tricky, so please arrive in good time.
What happens if I can't enjoy the kayaking activity?
Don’t worry, if you can’t enjoy the tour for any justified reason, we will refund the full amount of the reservation. If you arrive late, we can reorganize you for the next route or with a partner, but don’t worry, it’s either your money or your experience!
Don’t be late now that you’ve read this! Our partners may be busy or our routes may be full and we may have to “punish” you.
